Aw, poor Ed! He needs a big after that experience. In my opinion, Ed would probably be the best one out of the three to own a pet--he's just so genuine and kind in many respects.

Did the little dickens have a name in the show? He looks like a 'Henry' to me.

I'm completely overjoyed at this picture for the simple fact that I had a turtle once; same thing happened too.

Three turtles have appeared in the show as far as I know:

''(The) Man Eating Turtle'' ('Ready, Set, Ed', season 1)
''The Turtle Helmet/The Helmet Turtle'' ('From Here to Ed', season 3)
...and yet another turtle appeared in ''Run Ed, Run'', season 5. (I haven't seen that one yet, I've just heard about it).

I dunno if it is the same turtle or not.
None of them had real names.

All that has ever been created was done so for a reason, even if that reason is just for it to be.

Its third appearance continued the gag of Ed using turtles as helmets. They all have different colors, but that may just be a mistake (which would make sense, since there's always 1-2 seasons between their appearances). I like to think they're all one turtle, but... who knows?

Also, just for accuracy, 'Ready, Set, Ed' is from season 2.

I'm sure everyone already knows about my unhealthy obsession with the Man Eating Turtle. XD I wish there had been an episode confirming that Ed kept it as a pet. It'd be an original idea to focus on raising a pet, since none of the kids have a pet they can actually interact with.

AWESOMELY DRAWN AS USUAL. I can't quite see what's going on in the first one, though. Eddy's scrubbing himself with the turtle shell, right?

Actually, I knew it, but I wrote the text a little too fast...typing '1' instead of '2'. Argh. Curse my clumsy fingers and excitement. SERIOUSLY.XD Thanks for correcting me. And you never cease to amaze me, Kevin...when it comes to knowledge about cartoons (especially EEn'E) and animation, you're a living encyclopedia (I think you've heard that one before). And....how I see it...absolutely mistake-free and serious! Next time, I'll leave the complicated facts to you.

As for the turtles...I dunno where I've got the whole ''turtles bite''-thing from. It's often used in comics...but all I know about ''biting turtles'' is that the Snapping Turtle (Chelydra serpentina) has powerful, deadly jaws of ''steel''.....
